Bargain Buys

Recommended Posts

I am a plonker, I nearly made a post about a piece of golfing equipment I just picked up cheap. Instead of cancelling the the thread though, what's the best watch bargain you have bought this year ?

Most terrible picture ever and totally stunning in the flesh.

Stock Image and is terrible it really is, but in real life absolutely gorgeous.

Pretty sure these are regulated by hand after comparing more than one side by side.

Pictures will follow during Christmas.

Citizen Promaster I bought it for just over £40 but required a new capacitor which I fitted myself. This one is a keeper

Lovely looking watch.

Personally think Dreyfuss don't get enough appreciation, they produce some stunning watches, often doesn't show in pictures (like you say) just how nice looking they are, and there are a lot of real bargains to be had on ebay etc. I've 5 Dreyfuss watches and very happy with each one.

Could not agree more, hopefully they will stay under the radar so we can accumulate more.

Still wow.  However the initial wow was based on 60% off.

I’m getting a breitling next year.  Nothing else.  Just a breitling.

navitimer or super ocean chrono.  Not decided yet. I shall have to visit the breitling shop in the Trafford centre and have a good couple of hours of trying on.

I take all that back.  40% off a colt.  WOW. Good deal.

Super Ocean Chrono ,,, fabulous watches ,,,

Navitimer ,,, fabulous watches ,,,

I am possibly going to sniff out a Chronomat in 2020 [ black dial smaller one , probs 2014-ish ] , but may need to sacrifice my Avenger Skyland in order to take the plunge, we will see....

Picked up a mint 2016 Oris Aquis date off eBay... Boxed, papers etc... £600.

Came with the bracelet and rubber (which I hated), put the rubber on eBay and it sold for £100 in minutes, I was pissing myself!

Love the watch and I'm sure I could easily get my money back if I wanted to (I won't)

Tissot T-Lord with ETA Valjoux 7753 for £358 from tkmaxx:)

I was waiting and waiting for them to reduce the 3-hand chronometer from 299 lol - it only went down to 289 so I left it.  They took 90 off the chronograph grrrrrr :laughing2dw:

This was a steal, and dial in great condition, there are much worse ones around for ridiculous dollars
