Lume shots - how long has it been? Anyway, time for the trusty perennial thread!

And now, a Frankie Howerd moment - nooooo....   Don't larf!

My favourite night-time watch, 12hr dial, one hander - I only need to know, when I wake up in the night, is it nearly 6 am,

IMG_20191223_230532265.thumb.jpg.bd89832f5591641c5ef046a65742fca3.jpg

This was taken about 11 pm, obvs.

Perhaps I could have put a blob of lume on the dial at 12 before I put the crystal back on, but I really don't need it if the watch is on my wrist.

And in the night I don't need to know if it's 12 minutes past something or 17 minutes past.  Just the hour.

the lume on my old 78 turtle fades very quickly, but at least it supports the theory the suwa dial is original which im sure it is as under a bright light it shows one speck of the infamous seiko under coat in red...its defo an old vampire dial.

That's interesting, I noted a fleck of red on my Seiko 5 dial and wondered wth?

I have a Poljot 31659 that nearly all have white lume and thin hands, but there are others liked mine out there, with the old 3133 hands and green lume, and again I'm sure mine is as per it came out of the factory because the lume on the hands and bezel matches and is short lived.

That's great, but information overload for me if I'm half asleep.

My favourite night time watch is a one hander (partly becuse I need glasses now and it takes me time to figure out a pair of hands in the dark)

I am going to drill the crystal a bit and put a blob of lume on 6 lol
