Damaged bezel on CWC Naval divers watch.

Recommended Posts

I have an original Royal Navy CWC divers watch issued 1983 with the quartz movement. The painted insert to the rotating bezel with the numbers on it is slightly damaged. It’s not terrible but does spoil the appearance a little. Does anyone know how the bezel comes off. I have tried to ease in off with a case back knife but it seems pretty solid and I don’t want to damage it. Is there some hidden fastening not apparent that is holding it on.

Thanks for any reply.

These are worth quite a bit of money now, so please put the knife down and take it to a watchmakers.  I would also suggest keeping it original to maintain the value
