My favourite watch.

Probably says more about my eyesight than my interest in watches :laughing2dw:

I do wear it nearly every night, and whatever watch I've been wearing all day I'm never reluctant to swap it for this!

Morning,

Today’s effort, and sounding like a baddie from Dan Dare, will be this possibly German-made ROTON running on a rather decent 25j Förster 222 auto with date quick-setting by repeatedly pulling the crown.

Bought as a non-runner, in this case from Romania, it had arrived rattling like a can of nails and being unable to convince Mr Google that I’m really, honestly, absolutely not searching for Croton or some modern “fashion luxury” brand called Teno-Roton, I’m finding a big fat zilch about this brand other than a solitary German eBay listing from years ago for an identical watch but with the wordmark in red.

However, I know that there must have been at least three of these things, because a few years ago I bought another one, with the same movement but in a differently-shaped case, this time from Slovenia and perhaps Eastern Europe was the maker’s target area, whoever that maker may have been.

Regards.
