Mudmaster today:

This was only available in the Chinese domestic market and completely off any online Casio websites elsewhere in the world. Picked it up NOS as a grey import as I loved the colours (Chinese consider red and gold to be lucky).

My second favourite Mudmaster; the first being the Maharishi edition.

Morning,

Today it’ll be this 1960s Elgin Sportsman.

Representing the budget end of their range, Elgin seem to have used a variety of imported 17j movements for these models. This particular one is marked as an M-112, effectively the Seiko-owned UTC 29 movement, and with Seiko’s Diashock device.

Regards.

Arguably the most "authentic" of the commonly available Beobachtungsuhr homages . . .

. . . original manufacturer (along with, IWC, Laco Lange and Wempe). good adherence to the "Baumuster A" dial design, sterile (as per B-Uhr spec), very well lumed, no date, hacking. And, a good quality piece into the bargain :)
