Morning,

Today I’ve dug out this Swiss-made Moline, probably 1940s and running on a 17j AS 1250 bumper.

Over the years various forums have seen occasional requests for information about this brand but without result. Today’s effort bears what looks like an Import Code of MOB on the balance cock, but as that is seemingly unrecorded it doesn’t provide any clues about the likely origins of this watch.

Regards.

It may suffer a little from "smaller movement in bigger case" syndrome, but it's still a lovely thing. Not too tempted by @scottswatches' kind offer just yet.

Captain Moon Phase. 40mm stainless steel. Zenith Elite 691 automatic.

And, (despite not being a fan of chronographs) another vote for Zenith not having "lost its way"

That is one gorgeous watch

Even better in person than in the picture. Only 50 made (mines no 35), picked it up on ebay (for lot less than it's original price) a few months after it was originally released. The watch I'll be wearing on Saturday is very similar, and was acquired in the exact same way, with any even bigger saving, some times pays to be patient. :)
