We did eventually go out for a half an hour to get some fresh air, I sort of thought if we left it until later it would be quieter and it was, hardly a soul to be seen and the odd person we did see was respectful and stayed well apart.

Looking towards Redcar and Tees Port with the shut down steel works in the distance.

And up to the Headlands

Normally a popular walk with plenty of people on the beach with dogs and so on but nobody to be seen for miles.

It was a bit eerie

We saw more than usual on the route we did, but not a great many.

And nearer home as you say, it was eerie

Had a call from our daughter on Saturday, having trouble getting her WFH setup to work with two monitors. "Don't you have technical support at your place?" I asked. "Yes, but they'll only tell me to switch it off and back on again. After that, they're lost." 20 minutes of patient questioning and some googling revealed a hack of a couple of files in her Citrix workspace. Ten minutes later, a text "It works! You're a legend!" I felt quietly smug about that.

Thank goodness my two boys are grown up now and don't constantly crave fast food! This little girl seems distraught that her favourite fast food chains are all shut...especially when she's told she'll have to eat 'Mummy's cooking now'....:laughing2dw:

Can you please confirm that you ran rather than walked? Michael Gove did say that you could walk for an hour or run for half an hour. Can I report you and claim my £150?

If we're only allowed an hour a day you can bubble me to Michael Grub too and possibly get it back dated:wacko:

I haven't seen anything official on how long we can be out exercising ??

It seems that official policy is to allow people to use their common sense and follow the advice. Gove was asked in a morning tv interview what would be reasonable exercise and that was his reply. It is only his opinion rather than official policy.

Lots of countryside where I live and it's quite easy to avoid the hordes.

Out for my daily exercise. M90, last time I saw it as quiet as this was before it was opened, the afternoon traffic is usually nose to tail back to the far away bend.

Great bracelets, John! I particularly like the red and black 'snake knot' one with the ball and loop fastener, and that yellow, white and black cord is superb...very tiger like.  I shall have to have a look for some of that!

I've incorporated my daily exercise and shopping trip into one, so a fast walk and then into the shop before walking home.again.

Today's pictures, the A9 North and Southbound. This is the main road that connects Glasgow/Edinburgh and the rest of the UK with Inverness and the North of Scotland.

The young man who runs our local Dairy/grocery shop is a bit of a character, here he is delivering our lockdown provisions today.
