I have a bit of a problem with these. Many are Kickstarter projects which I personally can't be bothered with. Many come with more attention spent on marketing spiel than quality of product, but two that have caught my eye are the Seals Watch Company Model C Field Explorer,

and the Baltic HMS 001,

I missed out on the Seals Watch, because I pondered too long, but I finally managed to get a Baltic HMS001. Both watches are similar in size, and to be honest, I'd have preferred the more expensive Seals which comes with a Sellita movement. However, the Baltic does not disappoint. It's pure retro, 38mm (36 would have been perfect for me) and the black dial version is the easiest watch I've had to tell the time on with a quick glance. Both are refreshing by the fact they are different without being complicated, and haven't gone the diver route.

No, it's straight cut, and flat.

Both are very nice watches. I have quite a few micro rands and in my mind they offer exceptional value for money - and there are also some great designs (not all are Submariner homages)

I've had a couple of Baltics - the cream dial and the blue dial - cool watches for the money.

I think what they offer is something different in terms of design and style, to the norm churned out by the majority. Where some fall down is they offer very little in the way of back up. I've had two experiences of this, and if it hadn't been for a resourceful independent watchmaker, who modified/made replacements, both watches would be in my junk drawer.
