Wearing one of the few TW Steels that's NOT up for grabs in the sales corner today :laughing2dw:

Weirdly, I want to keep this one, while its larger twin is up for sale - My taste must be changing to a smaller size these days :swoon:

It will be getting changed, once I've studied the pin removal.

It's a little bit 'Star Trek' for some, but I think it was a brave design move by Seiko.

Seiko 5M62-0AF0, made November 2003.

It`s a watch Jim but not as we know it....

Image result for spock

I finally tracked one of these down to try on as ive wanted one since they first teased them but unfortunately it was just too darn big for my tiny wrists.

Shame as they are great looking things, pictures just never do them justice.

is it a two screwdriver job?  I must admit to looking at these - great value, but I have also seen a very nice 3-hand Poljot pilot's watch - handwound - so I am sitting tight until something or other - not convinced about the lack of hour markers  along the minutes track- all the minute markers are the same weight.

the big majorities of leather straps are not good for sea salt water

Tag Heuer gave me a bracelet for my 6000 because I complained so much about the straps breaking - they said it was water damage I said a) it was a dive watch and b) at the time they sold it they were going big about how the straps were all made of shark-skin, or crocodile, or water-buffalo and therefore obviously very water resistant.  Believe me, those straps were 3% leather and 97% padding.  Anyway - the bracelet still looks good 25 years later!  Thank-you, Tag.

Shame I left the crown unscrewed (let's blame the kids) - still going strong though.  Except the lume
