Morning,

Another French-made Fedex from around 1960 today, the only brand from Fernand Briot of Charquemont who were founded in 1913 and survived until the 1970s, by then known as Briot-Amstutz.

Today’s effort is driven by the ubiquitous 15j Cupillard (FE) 233-60.

Regards.

Started with the 5606-5000 Lord Matic.

Doorbell went a while back, so now sporting this which I believe I got for a steal. Date doesn't change so that will need looking at, but it is going well and keeping time at the moment. It has a little plate loss, the crystal will need a polish at the very least, (it has some deep burn marks) but most likely a replacement and its gold, which is mostly a no-no for me but this is a special exception.

That's nice - is it based on a 7750?  I don't like the usual 'T' shaped balance found on many Tissot watches' second hand, this is the much much better.

Yes, you're spot on with the movement. - Valjioux 7750.

Well, when someone disses your lump of steel, you sock 'em back between the eyes with a bigger and badder lump of steel!

None of this offering up the other cheek nonsense lol  :boxing:
