I'm all set with this Gradus '15j' 30mm 3-hander, actually running on an AS 17j 984 (1002 - 11.5 ligne)

Irritatingly the lug width is 17mm, it came on an 18mm strap, a pliable one, I didn't measure the lugs, just bought another 18mm strap without realising. And it refused to 'squish' so I had to butcher the ends.  Well, I didn't HAVE to.  But I did.  And now I spy some spring bar.

Whatever, as my grandmother used to say, "A blind man would be pleased to see that!"

Have a safe weekend.

New Bulova Astronaut

I love these. Bulova tried really hard to get their watches on the Apollo programme, but at least they got the contract for onboard electronic clocks.  Now we know that Buzz Aldrin's watch was the first Speedy on the moon because Armstrong had to leave his in the LEM, due to the failure of an electronic timer onboard the 'Eagle'.  I always wondered if that failed instrument was a Bulova electronic clock.

Morning,

1960s Cornavin from assemblers, rather than makers, who adopted the name from an area of Geneva.

This one runs on a 17j Arogno 151 and was produced before the company experimented with outsourcing their assembly and movements to Raketa, operations which were subsequently repatriated to Switzerland.

Regards.
