Have to say on my wish list.

Meanwhile, from the man who brought you the coal-man's Harwood, please be entertained by the first watch in space, 30mm screw-case Pobeda, nearly all in museums or private collections (try finding one): forget Gagarin.  As sent into orbit by Dr. Abraham Genin on the paw of Chernushka aboard Sputnik 4 ...

Like my Harwood, it keeps going if you shake it.  I sometimes think Russian watches are to Horology what Panini stickers are to Philately.  Well, in rarity terms, this is the timekeeping equivalent of Sunderland's Wahbi Khazri from the 2018 World Cup album.

Morning all :) A watch built from some very cheap bits lying around a year or so ago. Uses an old pocket watch face with a couple of pound quartz movement with dummy lower hand but a bit of fun... will change to a different movement one day, maybe I can find one which can drive lower hand..... I actually love wearing this one. Have a good Saturday :)

Can’t get enough of my new Conny. So damn comfortable to wear and every time I look at it I find a new tiny detail I love. If there’s ever an advert to buy pre owned so you can get a better quality watch within your budget, this is it.

Definitely. For my own personal taste, everything on that watch shouldn't work, but it does. Tomorrow's classic most certainly.

Did I say forget Gagarin?  Don't forget Gagarin!  Just through the letterbox ...

IMG_20200523_102206093(1).thumb.jpg.b24dde8e64bbfae09e04b43dbea3b204.jpg

Amazing presence.  I have another 15j and a 17j with replacement dials, but this makes them look like toys.

15j shock protect movement with hacking seconds and fully lumed original seconds hand.

Forget  Sunderland's Wahbi Khazri, if this was a rare Panini sticker, it would be Inter Milan's Radja Nainggolan!

There are various reports that Yuri wore a standard 15j issued when he graduated, or an upgraded 15j, or a standard 17j, and the reference watch most often quoted is a 17j restoration by ILL PHILL, but it is also said that the actual Cosmonaut's watch is in the Poljot museum, yet although I have searched all over the net for a pic, and cannot find it - ILL PHILL's watch always pops up.  So anyway, everyone gets a 15j and a 17j 'Gagarinskie' to be on the safe side.  Lumed second hand!  That's ready for action ...  The crown is correct, just incredibly worn.  And wound.

That looks great from the front but really uncomfortable to wear. :)
