Running out of clocks

Hi all hope everyone staying safe

i restore torsion clocks and before this covid  lark started I had a shelf full of them waiting to be done but now I am almost out, so I have been practicing using the watchmakers lathe ( not getting on very well ) if anyone  can suggest good video or reading matter It would be much appreciated.

Hi Dell,

Can You tell us what seems to be hard to do for You? What matreial You use? What kind of cutters? What kind of lathe? Do You try to make certain detail and what exactly is the difficult part...

sorry for the late reply but I have been unwell, but the main problem I have is with using a graver as I have never used one before but I am sure I will get there, the materials is bright mild steel and brass but I haven’t made much with this lathe ( IME watchmakers lathe) I am just practising but I don’t want to make the parts I need (steel screws and brass finials)until I am fairly confident I am not going to cock it up.
