Citizen Adorex

Recommended Posts

Just arrived, Citizen Adorex 8200a, late model from September 1977. Not the one you can regulate from the crown, but quite unusual anyway as the Adorex models were only made for a few years. Bracelet off to be fumigated.

No ive not been on since march. Wales has only just opened up again. We are a bit behind England. Nice one too. Theres a mint early citizen quartz on the bay i got offered for 60 quid. I will find a link. I was tempted but im holding off for a seiko manual wind when i find one i want. Had an offer on a cronos and a liner but. Prices are all over the shop and im holding back.

With the Adorex I put an offer in and it was accepted very quickly. Which makes me think I should've gone 20 quid lower.

Yes theres a lot to be had off prices with some sellers at the moment. I keep getting offers sent from sellers ive viewed watches. Im thinking as a rule of thumb at the moment. Youre average 150 quid watch can be had for 80. Wait while furlogh ends and reality begins. I think there will be bargains come late autumn. Its a loss adjusters dream.

Or nightmare @deano1956 int it.

I know but we still need a retired consultant on the forum. With a sense of humour. Otherwise weve only got @BondandBigM bond the furloughed booze specialist and rolex special agent, me the banned lawyer, Jot the retired window cleaner, mach the retired mental nurse, daveyp the artist, jonjetski the furloughed russian expert, the only normal person apart from you and me i can think of is @mcb2007 oh and @Roger the Dodger the spider man.

It was supposed to be a `lockdown' not a `lockout'. In most of the UK internet use increased and if you used webchat then the other person was not really inside your computer screen and breaking the 2m rule.

Yeh im banged to rights rob i give in.

@mcb2007 how did this thread about a citizen andrex durex whatsit turn into a discussion about richy dicks and hotel maids? We need @BondandBigM to advise us on applying the 2m hooker rule. In order to investigate the loop hole.

It may be a long shot.

I've had a Crystron for years that wouldn't run with a new battery so it was put in a drawer, Found it out a few weeks ago and tried another battery with no joy so I gave a gear a little nudge with a small driver and away it wrent!!

That's very smart, and great you could get it going again. I do like some of these old Citizens.
