WRUW - 29th June 2020

Morning,

German-made Laco from the 1950s, and a company with a long and chequered history.

Driven by a decent-enough 21j Durowe 440, it gets a rare outing today.

Regards.

18k Rotary 'Elite'

This was not my dad's 'best' watch, but it was his favourite.  Because wearing it gave him the chance to tell the story about how he got it from the jewellers for such a steal. Again!

Had this since I was around 8 or 9 years old, and it was second hand then. Still keeps to within +5s/ day.

Put that damned thing away somewhere. Like in a time capsule, not to be opened for another 50 years.

Maybe by then someone will be able to revive our discussions and provide definitive answers. And whilst that'll be way too late for me, right now I don't care.

The Parnis is a cheap and cheerful beater as I want to keep the Casio for work wear. Pleasantly surprised , deffo bang for buck ! Gains very slightly but has a hacking movement
