Added the 50's Soviet mechanical Grammometer as a twist on the usual picture composition.

Seagull 1963 for the morning dog walk. Probably something more robust after for some gardening. HAGD

Morning,

This Basamatic today, made by Adolf Thommen’s Basis Watch Co of Tecknau, Switzerland founded in 1938. Their Basamatic brand was first registered in 1957 and this one wouldn’t have been produced too long after that.

Whilst Basis were widely known for using low-jewel pin lever movements sourced from various manufacturers such as Baumgartner, today's effort runs on an uncommon 21j Brac 117 auto (but only 20j in this case, as you can see) a calibre not represented in the Ranfft or Lorenz archives.

Regards.

Nice to start with this vintage Rotary today. Will swap into something more water resistant as the day gets hotter.
