Morning...   Late 30's RG ASTOR curvex. Cal: Peseux 110, 15 jewel.

Grail day

It’s a tag Heuer Steve McQueen day for me today

Just put this on a perlon strap.  No new photo though as it's grim outside.

Edit - not sure what's happened to the photo, it's showing up fine on another forum with the same link.  Anyone else just seeing the address?

Morning, having given up on the arrival from The Ukraine of my 200m Vostok auto, my Citizen has been chosen as the lucky winner of the strap I was saving.

22mm single pass leather from Vintagewatchstraps.

The case - like that of the Citizen RC watch this GPS model has usurped, is chamfered and will just accommodate a 2mm thickness between it and the bar, though you would never pull it through, the edges are sharp.  Some idiot did try once ...

HAGD, and hope you have sunshine too.

Not been wearing watches that much as I busted my wrist (weights not Muay Thai this time!). But wearing these two today: PloProf as it was wound from when I saw Caller. yesterday and now the PO9300:

(Used iPad not camera)

Staying in Khon Kaen which is the Isaan region of Thailand (North East); you can see my hospital in the background along with the main shopping plaza and a monument:

Morning,

Today it’s one of a recent bunch from my sometimes sainted watchmaker, a 35mm GMC, maker unknown and sporting what purports to be a Breitling case back, entitlement to which it most certainly won’t have.

Despite having a flashy-trashy look about it, this effort runs on a decent enough 25j Felsa 1560 auto and, as a freebie, I mustn’t grumble, as someone once said.

Regards.

@Karrusel, your Astor looks like it should be an exceedingly comfortable watch to wear. Isn't it a shame we don't see more shaped like that nowadays. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Mr Kipling agrees with you.

Was fortunate to acquire this some years back for very little money (not fashionable tat) with the accompanying original RG Bonklip style bracelet, which enables you to get the perfect fit every time.

These curvex cases, as they are known, were originally introduced by Gruen in the 1930’s.

Cartier, JB, Bulova, & a few others, followed with similar curved designs.

Frank Muller & Bulova have produced modern curved (case back) models, to my knowledge.
