Seiko 5 strap advice

Recommended Posts

I just bought a stylish vintage Seiko, but the wrist strap is a tad tight for my wrist. Does anyone know where to get a reasonably priced replacement that would fit the tricky 10mm lug width? Or perhaps a way of extending the strap itself?

I can confirm that these work well and get you over a problem. I had a rare Seiko 7T32 with an integrated bracelet that was too short for my ma-hoosive 8" wrist. No spare links were available, so I resorted to a CousinsUK clasp extender, and it worked a treat.

The extender (make sure you select the right size...the narrow end must fit between the sides of your existing clasp)
Clasp extender.

It fits inside your existing clasp with the right sized springbar.
Clasp extender.

The finished effect looks like this...
Clasp extender.

...and on the wrist, hardly noticeable...
Clasp extender.
