Morning nothing really good about it. Dug out this to cheer me up. I am not buying any more watches. [emoji17] Well maybe the odd one or two. [emoji16]

Steel-cased Helbi with a 17j German calibre, the PUW 60-61 which was a highly-rated movement in its day.

Mikrolisk attributes this brand to the Swiss company, Elida Watches, and that may be true of my other Helbi example with an FHF movement and a similar, but different, dial logo. However, today’s effort without a “Swiss Made” identifier is possibly by the German maker Paul Werbeck, who seems to have had some kind of commercial arrangement with Elida.

@Davey P good choice :clap:

My impeccable taste is legendary around here... :laugh:

I swapped mine to a nice soft rubber strap this morning, because I couldn't quite get the bracelet sized right. One link out was too big, and 2 links out was slightly too tight, and there's no fine adjustment holes on the clasp.  The rubber strap doesn't look quite as "flash" but it makes the watch so comfortable and easy to wear, so I can live with that :thumbsup:
