Sunday Newbies since 1990 WRUW?

Recommended Posts

Morning, another of my favourite night-time watches.

And also one reason I have not pulled the trigger on the Ball Engineer III Pioneer Chronometer - What if I buy it and it's less precise?  This Miyota wasn't that great out of the box, but if you take the back off (like I did) you can make it so, after a few days, with very little financial risk.  It's gaining a couple of seconds per day dial up, less on the wrist.

Last time I had it on this Geckota super-engineer bracelet I was using the curved end links, but I am into the functional look just now.

OK, so it doesn't hack, nor have tritium tubes, but neither does it have an ornate balance on the second hand, which I find irritating.  Tissot, Ball, Invicta, CW, take note.

I ordered this off AliExpress early December, its cheap but cheerful I just fancied a Bronzie and didn't want to blow too much. It arrived on Thursday and so far its good but I am not sure which type of plastic cow the leather strap came from but it will do till I can find something better.

Changed into this for the afternoon.

The strap was a freebie, and came with my Dan Henry chronograph, but I have never yet seen a watch that actually suited this design.  It's just a temp until my heat-sealed grey G10 strap arrives - not easy to find in 22mm.
