Enjoying my newbie...

Happy birthday [emoji512] Speedy Pro for today although looking out the window I'm wondering if 50m of water resistance is going to be enough.

Morning...   1938-40 RECORD 'THE ELIN' Cal: 106, 15 jewel, screw coin edge bezel, enamel dial. Rowe & Co LTD was the premier department store in Rangoon...

Morning,

This 1950s Cimex was bought from France and runs on a (French) 15j Cupillard/FE 233-60 with Antichoc 102.

So, presumably French-made which sadly tends to discount the only two recorded makers of a “Cimex” brand in Mikrolisk, and other than having seen another example using a Jeambrun movement, I’ve found absolutely rien (or hee-haw, for all the linguists out there).

Regards.

Throughout this lockdown I’ve stuck solely to this (and a Fitbit to track my running). I’d best get the old watch box out of the safe.

In other news, what better way to spend your 30th than lockdown in front of a PC all day!

New bracelet has arrived for my Strela re-issue, so first I need to move the strap on ...

Well that looks quite distinguished  And for the rest of the day this (took a while to get this fitted):

Not giving myself 'trial by semi-quickset' - the date will have to do!

Not sure about the bracelet, but it makes a change.  I need to fix the lighting like they did in the sales pics!
