looking at the results it seems there is a split at the 11-15 point. I'm guessing this is where people decide to either consolidate into fewer 'higher end' watches or just mash the go pedal and BUY MOAR WATCHES.

I could of course have come to this conclusion because this is exactly the place I am in this spectrum and this is also my thought process. I have a couple of nice 'high end', a couple of 'mid range', some fun stuff and some quartz's. All of them go into the rotation regularly, usually at random / mood so I can't say I would relish a sell off so I suspect my collection will grow slowly now.

I think I'm still on top of my problem..

I purchased a rather nice watch box that holds 10 and when one enters the box.. one, sadly, has to go bye bye.

7 are regular "switcheroonies" depending on which day takes my flipflop. 2 are more dress oriented and the last one I call my "old man" (a 50s Accurist automatic) that I save for very special occasions.

To be honest, I thought I had a problem but in comparison with you guys, I feel quite normal now.

I've really been trying to pare it down lately. Says the guy who has 4 watches inbound...

But I did just give away 9 watches so... Yeah still delusional. Lol

I only have four, bought since last August when I started down this road of watch enthusiasm. I often see watches I quite like the look of, but refrain from buying, because “why do I need another one?”  I guess for people who have 30+ this inner voice of reason had grown quieter over the years?

This is a really interesting thread, I have 30 watches, soon to be 31.

I would just ask, as well as collecting watches, do any of the thread posters have a lot of anything else?

I have too many trainers, too many jackets and for some reason, too many credit card holders.
