Anything anyone can tell me about this watch

Recommended Posts

It is a military timepiece, made for the British Ministry of Defence during the Great War.

It was made by H Williamson in Coventry, the London reference on the dial was only for an office they had there.

Most of these (1000’s) were made in nickel plated cases with 7 jewel movements. Yours should probably have an enamel dial?

The corresponding numbers on the case side, back, & dial, are M.O.D. ordinance/stock/inventory, reference numbers.  These are not the same as the movement, case numbers.

Hope this helps.
