Morning,

This Swiss-made Porluc today, by M Bianchi of La-Chaux-de-Fonds and with the brand name seemingly being registered in 1953. This one will date from around then and is driven by a 17j Felsa 465N.

Seems like some errant lume from one of the hands has adhered to the dial but as it’s probably Radium, I’ve never been in any desperate rush to do anything about it.

Regards.

Late today with this newbie,

I read on here a few days ago that a bracelet can compete with the watch head , or detract from it, hadn't really thought of that before

but I think this strap becomes part of the background rather than part of the picture

which is a new tack for me, and I like it.

Resolved to try and wear my way through the whole collection so pulled this one out today. At a distinctly vintage 30mm it might not last the morning, feels a bit odd, but still keeping remarkably decent time for something that looks like it's probably never seen a service since it left Switzerland in the 50's:

No definitely nae Fittie, it would add over 5 miles to my walk home if I went via Fittie, I'd be knackered by the time I got there. :laughing2dw:

It's ASDA at the Bridge of Dee I shop at not the Asda at the beach.:)

Better image, my photo is taken just before where the red car

Capture
