So you know when you've resolved to wear everything in your collection once and you get towards the end and you're looking at the shelf thinking "well, I've got to do this sometime"..

Genuine rose gold coloured Sekonda with a fully skeletonised fake plastic dial giving teasing glimpses of the cheap nasty Miyota quartz within. It was a present OK.

Morning,

This Old England today, probably 1960s and thought to have been by Accurist but totally unlike their unisex Swinging ‘60s fashion range of the same name introduced in the mid-60s. Those “flower-power” models were sported by fashionistas and pop stars of the day and were usually driven by a 1j EB 8800 and largely designed to be disposable, so are now considered to be quite collectable.

However, today’s effort runs on a 17j FHF/ST 96-4 and whilst it’s possible that the original Old England range also included some conventionally-styled watches, I’ve yet to see another one by way of confirmation.

Regards.

Tissot Le Locle with broad bean flowers.

This was my second choice photo: there's a wren making a devil of a noise in the holly tree behind me but the link to Google Photos didn't want to play the video sound track.

Just noticed the bezel of centre, so for anyone having palpitations, calm down, calm down ...

The semi quick-set date on these is a pain, so I usually look for one with a date in the recent past, half of my 3133 chronos were showing the 8th!  This one was on the third, so got the nod for today.

They are noisy!  During lockdown one I went exploring near our local river and heard the racket, was looking around for something the size of a cuckoo and couldn't believe it was the wrens.
