WTB Gagarin for a nephew - any advice?

Advise?

Buy it. At intervals have it serviced although the Russians make their time pieces robust. They had to. The primary customers were the military.

A out the 60's andc70s the watches became export goods.

Thet are rugged.

 

I opted to be the Kirovskie crab watch as it looked simple elegant yet intriguing. It became a fan favorite when a Russian scientist character was seen wearing one.

 

That is what I love about Russian watches, elegant in their simplicity. 

Very spartan and very utilitarian 

Get the greenish blue glow lumen numbered one. Though the brownish numbers  still looks cool. The black dials are awesone too.

 

My agony? 

Get the exhibition case back showing the movement, the hagarin sculptures case back, or the blank case back which what Yuri Gagarin wore.

Either way it is sweet catch.
