'FIAT' watch - 1940's?

Recommended Posts

I have inherited my father's watch which he wore every day, until long after his retirement.

It clearly has the FIAT logo as a maker's mark, with its stretched letters and curved A.

As he was in Italy with the RAF during WW2, I suspect he acquired it then as he didn't travel overseas after that.

I'm interested to learn more about this watch if anyone has any knowledge of these FIAT watches.

Cheers, Andy

PS I tried to add a pic but 'insert Image' doesn't appear to like Dropbox URLs, so here's the link to the pic -  Fiat watch
