Now here's a thing, the quartz version of this carries the 'crow's foot' or broad arrow denoting that it is designed to military spec and, as I understand it, the Holton Professional has also been issued as a service timepiece.


This is the Seiko NH35A powered version.

But that is not the interesting thing, the interesting thing is that yesterday I was able to visit the oldest military issued time-keeping device in the world.


And if you don't believe me, check out the broad arrow carved into the heel stone bottom right, 6500 years ago.
