How big are your wrists bricey? The 36.6mm muhle looks bigger than I was expecting on the pics - probably just because all dial as you say.

A number of nice ones you’ve got here but, for what I’m guessing the price was, I really like the timex. On the last strap in particular.

It is a strange optical illusion of a watch, maybe the 'all face' aspect, combined with quite chunky lugs and a narrow 18mm strap, but it looks and wears much bigger than it should.

My wrist is a little over 6.5 inches

I double checked the watch diameter

But this is how it wears

And this is how it looks sat beside the Tudor Glamour which is 39mm

And even aside other larger watches (clockwise from top right; FC Classic 40mm, Dreyfuss 1890 Seafarer 40mm, then the 36.6mm Muhle and finally the 39mm Tudor)

Its my Muhle Glashutte Tardis watch.

So the bookend to this thread should be the SOTC after the recent influx of additions, as stated two 6 rotor winders and 2 wooden boxes.

Watches paired (loosely in some cases) throughout the collection,

Two birth year vintage:

Then there would be 2 two-tone, but the Eterna is still back at Eterna being sorted out.

Then, 2 sports watches (Black dial)

2 dress watches

2 smart casual watches (white dial)

And finally in the winders, 2 divers

On to the boxes, first up, box 1

2 no-date divers (auto)

Then 2 smart quartz

Then finally 2 day-date divers (auto)

Box 2

2 quartz gifts from Mrs B

2 manual winders

Then the very final pairing, 2 non-circle Black watches (that's a thing!)

And that is the (current) state of my little collection, 2 options for pretty much any occasion.

Pah....lightweight.

No vintage pocket watch.

No Worldtimer.

No Moonphase.

No Military timepiece.

No Minute repeater.

No Tourbillon/Carrousel.

No Skeleton.

No 1920’s, 30’s 40’s, 50’s, etc.

No horological tomes.

Must try harder!

I don't doubt that I will

I don't regard these as part of my collection

OWNLyPB.jpg

I have a few books, but again, they are not my watch collection, neither are the pressure tester, timegrapher, etc....

I've had a couple of military inspired watches, but they're not for me, neither are Skelebobs.

Similarly not too fussed about owning anything older than me.

Worldtimer and GMT, Moonphase and maybe one day in the very distant future a tourbillon might come in to play, but I never suggested it is the end of the collections evolution.

I thought everyone that needed a tough watch used g shocks these days

And you should definitely count the pocket watches, I don’t know any timepiece that’s cooler. Unfortunately I only know one person that actually wears one but it’s a joy to see them getting used.

Ops. Can’t edit, by everyone, I meant every military that needs a tough watch uses a g shock

Some great options there, I rather like the red and blue NATO which I dare say I would not have tried off of my own back and might just be the preferred wrist wear of this little fella for the foreseeable.

In other news, I managed to butcher two spare clasps to get a good fit on the FCW (French Cake Watch) to do away with the piddly butterfly, and it is now both much easier to put on and far more comfortable to wear.
