Horological Journal Back Issues

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I joined the NAWCC to gain access to some research which I knew was available on their site (and have since contacted the horologists behind it), I would like to have a look through some back issues of the HJ (unfortunately the only copy I have is issue 1) and wondered if the back issues had been digitised, to enable searching, and if membership of the BHI would enable access to that?  I do have an issue in mind to start with.

Best regards

JJ

Hello Jet, thanks for being in contact, and sorry for the delay in responding. Yes, all HJ issues to 2017 are available to members on the digital archives and we can provide PDFs or paper issues (if available) for a small fee to non-members. Send an email to rachel@bhi.co.uk with details of the issue you're looking for and we will help you out - but yes, membership would give you full and free access to the archives.

Are the HJ archives fully searchable, including things like adverts?  Those period adverts can be very useful to amateur historians like myself.  I'm a lapsed member but that might tempt me back.

Yes, they are fully searchable including the adverts.
