Needed a battery change, so popped on my "Pretendident" (also trying to prove I've nothing against a good 'ol Rotary, I think this is the longest owned watch in my collection).

Well, it was graduation day for my eldest: Dr. Jetski Jnr. will see you now!

and seems like a watch would make a fitting present, but hang on!

He may have his mum's looks, but in addition to my brains, he also appears to have my solar powered radio controlled Casio AWG-101-1AER that I chucked his way 10 years ago.

Well, in a stroke of luck, it turns out that the aforementioned Casio is an excellent watch for "Avigation", old bean, so he therefore won't be needing this, after all:

'41 / '42 Longines Weems second-setting watch.  27mm and specced to run < +/- 3-6 secs per day.

Been close to buying a Cheminant watch several times - I also think the word 'cheminant' is fairly analogous to 'farer'.

I’ve had a few now and they do seem to have nice quality movements and cases
