Do you have any watches with a Seiko VH31 Quartz movement?

That's a decent time considering it ticks 4x more than a standard quartz. Sorry I have no idea about the bracelet but someone will be able to help I'm sure.

Thanks! They seem to be more accurate than a regular quartz too. The two that I own keep time nearly as well as my 2 Bulova Precisionists.

I like the yellow one - hmmmmm I'm thinking that it may make (yet another) holiday watch :)

Having just done a quick search on Ebay I've found this interesting shrouded diver in Japan. I'm not going to go for it but I like it

I have one of those. It is made by Seiko. Wired is a Seiko Sub-brand that is only sold in Japan.

Looks a very nice watch - it might be worth looking out for Wired watches if/when I ever get to Japan

On a different tack: Does anyone know how many sub-brands Seiko has? :)

I have this Newmark with a VH31 the second hand moves four times per second rather than sweeps but does look much nicer than the 1 jump of standard quartz calibres

I beg to differ. This movements looks like a crackheaded auto or a speedofreak quartz. Neither of which are positive and these movements look terrible in action. Huge hard and gigantic pass.

I tend to agree.  Looking at the video posted earlier it reminds me a bit of the spring coupled (so I've read) seconds hands of some, if not all, Vostok watches. If you observe them closely you can sometimes see the seconds hands appear to stall or falter momentarily until sufficient tension builds up in the spring to cause them to jump forward in somewhat ungainly leaps and bounds playing catch up to regain their proper position.  It doesn't affect time keeping but when you see it happen it looks rather unsettling!

Of course the VH31 may look better in real life than it does on the video.
