Right I'll play, but I'm setting myself additional bounderies:

10 Watches, and something to keep them in, for under £1,000.

No two watches from the same brand, and I want a mix of auto's, quartz and handwinding. I want A dress watch, a diver, a field/military watch and a pilot/aviator watch amongst the auto's.

The other 6 must include; a manual wind, a solar or kinetic, a chronograph, a digital a GMT and something hardwearing to act as the beater.

Here goes:

Four Auto's:

Dress - Bulova 97A150 - £164.99 (https://www.hsjohnson.com/watches-c123/mens-watches-c116/bulova-97a150-rose-gold-tone-automatic-wristwatch-p15464)

Diver - Invicta Pro Diver 1953 - £79.00 (https://www.creationwatches.com/products/invicta-watches-307/invicta-vintage-pro-diver-automatic-divers-34334-200m-mens-watch-20441.html?)

Military/Field - Seiko 5 SNK809K2 - £71.00 (https://www.creationwatches.com/products/seiko-automatic-sports-89/seiko-5-military-automatic-snk809k2-mens-watch-1713.html?)

Pilot/Aviator - SteelDive SD1936 - £94.29 (https://www.steeldives.com/products/steeldive-sd1936)

Six Others:

Manual - Seagull 1963 40mm - £118.52 (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000113033810.html?)

Solar/Kinetic - Citizen Eco-Drive - £79.99 (https://www.argos.co.uk/product/2513306?)

Chronograph - Pulsar PM3177X1 - £59.99 (https://www.rubiconwatches.com/pulsar-gents-military-watch-pm3177x1-new?)

Digital - Adidas Archive_M1 - £71.00 (https://www.adidas.co.uk/archive_m1-watch/CJ6306.html?)

GMT - Rotary GMT Diver - £44.99 (https://www.argos.co.uk/product/3180484?)

Beater - Casio G-Shock - £79.99 (https://www.hsamuel.co.uk/webstore/d/5091098/casio+g-shock+g-steel+black+resin+strap+watch/?)

And finally, something to keep them all in:

4+6 Watch Winder - EBay £48.99 (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324059625856?)

And I have £87.25 of my budget left to start looking through EBay for some more cheapies to build on my budget starter collection!

Thanks for sharing.  Some interesting watch choices but for me the best is the Watch Winder, which has just been added to my ebay watch list.

The thing that rings alarm bells on that is, in the product details it says there's a button to change direction, but then it says it rotates on a fixed programme. I have one that looks identical, similar price and it's fixed. On mine, two of the motors stopped working and it took several replacements to get a reliable set of four. The motors are quiet, but the trim around the turntables creates some noise and I have a timer to switch it off at night. Maybe I was unlucky with mine, but with hindsight I'd have bought something better.
