Beater Diver Style

Recommended Posts

So I am still on my never ending quest for more - as we all are!

I have my cherished Moonwatch and some interesting micro brand offerings and even  a couple of vintage bits in between but what I really need is an everyday wearer or beater and I want a diver style piece.

Looking at preowned I have narrowed my search to the following an wanted to get opinions.....

What would you go for?

Blimey, you guys have got a very different interpretation of a "daily beater" to me.... :laughing2dw:

Me too! - My Phoibos Eagle Ray going on the bay this weekend - That's a beater for 1/4 of a grand!

I wouldn't be pushing that money out on a beater.

Me neither, i`ve got that oris on rubber and i cant imagine spending as much on a watch again, still, its all about what an individual can afford.

Probably shouldnt have put 'beater' in the title. Less beating more everyday diver!!

A lot of watches I am not particularly keen on here.

The Oris I want to like but for the size (Oris Aquis is too big for my liking) if you are a big guy that would be my choice.

Tags aren't terrible either but I would never buy one for the money usually asked.

Longines I am drawn to their vintage stuff more than modern offerings.

I always throw Certina DS action indo the mix, its well reviewed but I haven't first hand experience, I did think about just taking a punt on the green bezeled one but somehow it never happened.   Would love to give one a test drive first.
