Some great value to be had out there so let's share the bargains we find.

I'll offer this:

https://tribus-watches.com/pages/tri-03-power-reserve-gmt-cosc

70% off Tribus watches. I haven't seen one in the metal but they seem to be of a reasonable build quality. Christopher Ward  (the actual person) is behind this brand since his split from the company bearing his name.

I ordered one last night. The watch I really wanted but it was way to expensive for me. Very special watch for a Polish person:)

Tribus, never heard of them, thankfully. Their website is like a modern Alan Sugar apprentice project. All the BS thrown in, some made up history, art, music, hipster styling and 70% off! I genuinely hope there isnt a poor sod out there that has paid £2500 for a 'My Dog Sighs' 'limited edition' prior to this stunning discount event. They look like a sh*t Swatch.

If Rolex or Tudor have the same black friday deal im in. :partytime:

Hard to disagree with that.

Surely, offering a SEVENTY PERCENT discount has just guaranteed that no one will ever pay anywhere close to the RRP ever (assuming that some people previously have)?

Marketing is an amazing thing. I used to work for a scotch whisky company that also owned a lot of other beverage brands and companys. There has been a shift from aged whisky to unaged for some obvious reasons. You dont have to wait as long to make it, which makes it cheaper to produce etc. I was there as an engineer but we had to be trained on various aspects of the whole business and had several sessions with the marketing team. Some of the sales results before and after tweaks were made to labelling, heritage, storys etc was amazing and at the same time selling product that had gone from being aged for 10 years and stated on the packaging to between 4 and 6 years and no longer listed.

Thats why I find the likes of this fourm invaluble to learn the real details. Its so easy to be sold the dream and pay for something you think you are getting when you are really get something else.

Ive never been a fan of skeleton dials, but that one looks appealing, i reckon i could read the time on it even, and im loving the lume, very ming in style.

But i just can't see over £3.5 k in it from them, are CW making a push like Omega have been to send their watches into orbit price wise just because they can?

It's a brave move, to be sure. Really high spec if you look at it- 5 day reserve, twin barrel, use of new materials and 300m WR on a seleton. Looks great too- very Ming.

Worth bearing in mind that the movement specialist they are working with (Chronode) supply the likes of MB&F and Cyrus (pretty high end watches, some at £100k plus).

I'd seriously consider a used one...

Oh id consider a used one at the right price, but nowhere near that. At a limited run of 210 they are sure to sell out, and i applaud the new technology and materials for them, but its still a CW. With all the negativity over the name and logo its going to be real hard to climb out of that hole. I don't know what the answer is but its going to be tough.

Been doing some digging, are CW part of the Fossil group? it looks like they are, but the trail is muddy

The following image is reason enough to dismiss them instantly…

That looks like the world's worst club night, ever. Why are all the blokes wearing white shirts?

The photographer happened to arrive at the same time as a bunch of management consultants relaxing after a hard day borrowing other people's watches.
