Received this yesterday.

I've been wanting to add an Oris to my collection for a while. I've found myself admiring many of the designs and also having read many reviews and posts regarding the brand everybody seemed to rave about them and the value for money.

So when this popped on another forum I jumped at it and must say I'm very pleased.

It's an Oris Modern Classic bought in later 2000. Cam with all box, papers, hang tag etc.

I'm a big chrono fan and this answered the brief. Sits really nicely on the rally style strap.

The initial adverts made the face look a bit blue and in sunlight it does seem to have a faint blue tint but you'd describe it as black with yellow highlights for the chrono second hand and minute and hours counters. The constant second counter has a lovely sweep to it.

It feels well build, has a display back showing the Valjoux 7750 movement (see pic below from previous owner)

Has kept excellent time the first day I've worn it. I even used the Chrono fucntion to time how long it took me to get the train back from london to Norwich after a tree fell on the line - just over 5 hours including a taxi and 2 other trains!

Has a retro/sport feel to it - probably due to the strap and black face, almost heuer like at a quick glance.

I was impressed with a nice clear lume last night that lasted until the morning.

All in all a very nice watch for under £300. I very pleased Bootsy! I think this will encourage me to look at more Oris models in the future.

I may put it on a black rally with yellow highlights but for the moment I'm just wearing it!

I have the same watch with a silver dial, black and red sub-hands, fitted on the bracelet.

Although I prefer 40mm plus watches this wears a lot bigger than its size suggests probably because it feels so heavy.

When I bought it research showed it to be quite a rare model.

A very nice find, enjoy and wear with pride.
