Timex M Cell?

Hi all,i picked up a Timex Q quartz,at my local bootsale last Sunday,i've cleaned it up and just need to find out what battery to fit in there.

Also is there anything i need to do or look out for before i fit the new one,

M cell is an obsolete mercury battery, but 344 is same size; use that.

I have this same watch, and have the same problem.

I'd like to know if the 344 worked as a replacement battery for the Timex M cell battery.
