well too blingy even for me!! ( and that's saying something as got told off on here for liking an Omega diamond dial  )

It must have been over £5k if it's 18K Gold, a standard day date in 18K gold was nudging 10k but yours is not a "day" model so i would guesstimate at 7k............. is that strap gold too or not??

As long as you like the watch as your the one wearing it!!

I suspect that the blingness of this watch might not be to a lot of people's taste (myself included) ... however, you seem very excited about getting it so, in the Christmas spirit, I'm made up for you. Enjoy it and please, wear it ... don't just look at it. :drinks:

dose anyone know, regarding duty, what the likley hood of this eatch getting stopped is. Dose it happen often...

Well the best way to prevent the watch being held up in customs is to obey the law and actually pay the import duty...I have no idea what the frequency is with which smuggling gets caught. Fortunately for you, as far as I know, HM Revenue and Customs don't apply a spelling test to importers.

Something of that value you are better off having delivered by a courier company (always love fedex myself) this will guarantee that you do get caught for the charges, but at least you'll have peace of mind with such a big sum of money involved.

He is using Fedex. But will declair the item as a gift worth $200. I hope this will work as i dont fancie paying hundreds and hundred in tax...We all pay enough tax as it is.

What do you think of this?
