At Last, My Introduction

Recommended Posts

I signed up to the site last Summer but for various reasons it has taken until now for me to say hello at long last.

I have a few questions that I'll be posting up in the relevant forums over the coming weeks regarding identification, repair and the like but I'll save those until after I take some pictures of the watches in question using the handy advice.

Having inherited my Dad's passion for watches and later his collection I think there are currently around 40-50 at home. Most are humdrum, everyday pieces but with everything from more modern quartz LCD through to manual & automatic winders I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions.

Anyway, I look forward to pestering you once I've exhausted the search function and thank you.

Stuart

I'm going to do my best to get some decent pics over the weekend, initially of the ones I have most questions about but if I have time then I'll take more pictures :)

I'm still trying to get the methodology for taking decent pictures but I have snapped a few of the watches I have questions about, other pictures will come later :)

First up is a new arrival, a Junghans Mega 19 7403 412 and one of 3 Junghans I added to my collection recently

Next is a Junghans Solar Tec that doesn't hold a charge, I'm assuming it needs a new battery/capacitor? Marked on the back 147718 705

Last of the Junghans, an Automatik marked on the glass 27/7000

I've already posted a pic in the relevant forum of this one but here's my Bulova Accutron

On the Russian front I have a recent Vostok but I would appreciate recommendations as to where I can get it repaired as I managed to damage it with some over exuberance when changing the date :(

Last one of the day is my aging Tissot Seastar Seven which needs a good service, probably by whoever you guys recommend I get the Vostok fixed with ;)
