Most Stressful Week?

Recommended Posts

this is my week so far, and what is planned. no wonder i am losing my hair!

MONDAY - Get a phone call from the police. My buy to let flat has had the door smashed down by three baseball bat wielding thugs trying to get to the tenant, who is himself a grade A scumbag. My new windows 8 computer keeps failing to boot up.

TUESDAY - Job interview, followed by confrontation at the flat mentioned and a bill for £550 for a new door. Argument with Paypal who were going to side with someone else on my claim and cost me £610 for a watch that never arrived. At least i found the solution to the Windows 8 problem and the PC is working again.

WEDNESDAY - Woken by a call from the police trying to find my missing tenant. 174 Unread emails in my work account, including one from my boss tell me to prepare for a big meeting tomorrow which will take hours. I eventually tracked the missing parcel and PayPal have refunded me for the missing watch - phew. All this by 10.30am

THURSDAY - I had booked this off as holiday, but now I have to prepare for the meeting and pack for a week away.

FRIDAY - Drive the family, including my 2 and 5 year olds, the 350 miles to Lands End - on the Friday before a bank holiday weekend. Wedding rehersal at 6pm

SATURDAY - Scumbag tenant should be moving out. I have to arrange for the key to be collected and damage to be assessed.

SUNDAY - I am best man at a wedding, and I haven't written my speech yet.

I know that drink is never the answer, but it is useful as part of the answer! At least next week is all Skinners beer, Pasties and Ice Cream!

The answer is .... live in the westcountry permanently in a delightful small village, full of nice people, work for yourself with a job that involves painting beautiful women and scenery and that enables you to drink when you want to and eat all the pasties and ice cream you desire when you're doing it.

Well it works for me... :D

When read the title I thought it might have been some real hassle, like running out of food by Wednesday or your only pair of shoes letting the rain in. Or not sure whether you'll get a few hours of work on you're zero hours contract this week. Or you're not sure if you can manage the bus fare to your next appointment with the cancer specialist as its in a hospital in another town and you don't have any transport, or you've just lost you're loved ones in a hurricane, yada yada......

Car failed mot again and the repair bill came to £250, I don't

have enough money to pay it until payday next month, thankfully

my mechanic has let me pay half now and half next payday but

have had to put what's left of my small watch collection amongst

other things on t,bay to try and cover some costs.

Sympathies to those who have lost.

I like that, Michael, and I'm going to nick it!.....Whenever we pass a cemetery, the 710 always says...'Everyone's dying to get in there!'....always makes me smile...

in perspective my troubles are minor

However...I feel for you, Scott...lets hope the next few weeks show an improvement. Luckily, we're off to Portugal for a week...it was touch an go if we'd actually go, but Sheila says she wants to go to have a break from all the stress of the last few months....I hope she can get some well needed R&R...I'll make sure she does.

Picked the wrong week to have computer / tennant problems . You will always find someone else worse off than you whenn playing problem top trumps and grief about spare houses and computers is very low on the list ,its tough when your on a run of bad luck and can't catch a break ,usually my bad week's turn into bad year's but I usually have a lifestyle defrag and simplify that works for me.

The one good thing about facebook is ,depending on how good your friends are is not to bitch and moan in public man up take it on the chin and move on because there is always someone out there will give you that slap to put everythinng in context.
