Sunday Oldies (Pre-1980)

Recommended Posts

After wearing the Steinhart Marine for the Friday & Saturday threads I thought this might be a good watch to start the Sunday Oldies thread with...

SERVICES, `FOREIGN` (made by UMF GDR) circa early/mid 1970s.

Having worked hard in the garden yesterday I'm having a watch day today. Time to check all the vintage LEDs are running then catch up on photographing the new arrivals.

Wearing this to start with......

Thanks Woody, I got it off ebay, see item 251318398487. It`s a simple but ingenious idea though I suggest if you get one & intend to use it with a lot of pocket watches that you get some silicon grease for the screw threads, it`s not that I`ve had any problems but it`s better to be safe then sorry :wink2:

Just back from the Spa. Thanks Silver Hawk...! :notworthy:

M9 Deep Sea purchased in Montreal in 1969. Although I gave it to my brother in 2009, I continue to ensure its well being.
