Mine arrived today. I asked Roy to fit silver 'Dauphine' hands which I think suit the font of the indices on the dial. The indices are a silver grey colour and with Roy's silver logo I think it all ties together nicely. The watch seems to have a nice balance between military and dress style and with the manual movement and good quality case it certainly is a reasonable price. 010_zps150cbb34.jpg

Nice very nice, my 79 is ordered.

I have gone for totally different style of hands, I might be only me that likes them and the colour.

All will be revealed when it arrives.

Enjoy your Watch Roger its a belter.

That really is an excellent choice of watch hands. Wouldn't mind seeing the other dial colour.

Not a wristwatch person myself but I have to say that I agree with Robert. You made a wise choice there Stinch, those hands suit the watch far better - well done you!!

What's the time keeping like?

Mine gains about 20 seconds a day, fine by me as I don't like watches to lose time and in my experience it may well settle down to lose a little less.

Hi there

Have you found the movements timekeeping changing much through use?

My 78s timekeeping is a long way off.

Please expand on that, are you gaining or losing.

Loosing, more than 3 mins a day. That's stationaly face up. More if it's worn or crown down.

I'm thinking it might need to go back tbh, but i'm in a bit a a denial state at the moment with it being brand new and all.

Another opinion would help ;-)

Contact Roy and send it back, it plainly isn't running as well as it should.

Roy is good to deal with, and I am sure would be happy for you to return it for him to have look at.

Probably needs regulating more accurately.

Let us know how you get on.

Jon

Well mine seems to have a similar problem to yours, mine appears to have a wobbly balance.

Check yours for wobble.

Hope that helps.

That's great, was it a problem with the balance?.

Hopefully mine will be back soon.

Would be interesting to know what the timekeeping is like now you have it back.

Don't actually know what the problem was, no info from Roy. But he's fixed it so that's the important part ;)

I checked it overnight face up and over 12 hours it was -8 seconds. I think wearing it it's loosing a little more than that but havn't checked it yet, but it's well within tolerance.

All is well

Good to know, should improve further with some use.
