Casio Wave Cepter Seconds Hand Problem

I've had my Wave Cepter WVA-430U for a few years with no problems, but I've just noticed that the analog seconds hand has got out of sync with the digital time.

The analog minute and hour hands are showing the correct time, as is the digital seconds display, but the seconds hand is wrong. It used to match the digital seconds, but now it doesn't.

Any ideas please on what's gone wrong and how to fix it?

If you haven't already done so, you can go to the Casio technical support page and download a pdf of the user manual, the link is here:

Just type in the 4 digit module number shown on the back of the watch to get the correct manual. That should tell you how to set the time and sync the watch properly.

I hope that helps anyway, and welcome to the forum mate :D

I appreciate this is a very old thread but thought I would add the solution for future visitors. Hope it helps.

In timekeeping mode, press lower left until you get to hand setting mode (H-S ET).

Hold down upper left until -0 0- appears. Second hand should move to 12 o’clock.

If not, you can adjust using lower right until it reaches 12 o’clock.

Press upper left to exit H-S mode and second hand should match exactly with digital display.
