I said I didn't like Kinetics........

Recommended Posts

Looks a bit 'spensive for a basic Kinetic, I'd personally have plumped for fancy diver (BFK) on that sort of budget, but it's an interesting military look dial and the new 5M82 calibre movement, so looking forward to seeing more of it.

Thanks for the professional opinion KevKojak, it's reassuring

I looked on Amazon and the price seems in line with their offerings, and I like the colour scheme on this one.  Will be nice to try a kinetic.

I quite like the look of that Roger.

But i would have waited for
Nigel to have bought it , then got it for half price in the weekly sale he does.

A tad over priced (adult sized tad) but that's how it goes in this game. Buy 4 under priced then sometimes get hit on the 5th. All evens out in the end

I like kinetics but probably would not buy any more just because you have to be far more careful to keep them `charged'. If they run out of power reserve then you can damage the capacitor - they can also take a bit of effort to get up to maximum power reserve.

A normal watch winder will not wind these enough.

I can testify to this: I have a kinetic and it will actually run down in the watch winder (which keeps any automatic fully wound).

I've got to get a toothbrush charger now!

Sounds worth a try - is there an ideal position for the watch?

Yes, try dial down, the charging coil is on the opposite side to the winder,

As per photo using meter, I found on this charger had a better output on the base of the charger than on the prong where the toothbrush fits, you have to try different positions to find what works for you.

The charge does not happen straight away, so be patient, it does work, good luck......Bob.

Red arrow charging coil.

You line up the battery with the post, trial and error and patience needed.

As in placing the battery (once you've found where it is) right on top of the post?
